Tasks

Driving a tram requires good judgment and a calm attitude. It is important to handle a variety of traffic situations in a responsible way, always with safety and the customer in focus. As the trams run according to schedule and the passengers expect a good response and punctuality, you must be able to handle stress and be patient. In your assignment as a tram driver, you also need to be responsible as it is a solo work with great responsibility over both tram and passengers. If necessary, you should be able to make your own decisions and initiatives. You must also be flexible and accept irregular working hours and night work as our trams run almost around the clock, 365 days a year. The work as a tram driver is sedentary and static, which presupposes good physique. Qualifications
* You need to be 20 years of age and have a Swedish driving license (with a minimum qualification B and completed probationary period) * Good ability to read, understand and express yourself in speech and writing in technical Swedish as it is a prerequisite for passing the education and being able to satisfy traffic and carriage instructions * Good health condition with, among other things, normal vision and hearing according to the Swedish Transport Agency’s regulations (TSFS 2019: 113) * Upper secondary education or equivalent We see it as a merit if you have: * Driving experience in city traffic (preferably from professional traffic) * Documented work experience * Experience of customer service * Knowledge of more languages than Swedish At Göteborgs Spårvägar we also have an employee relationship that we must all relate to, it is closely linked to our core values: safety, traveler focus, cooperation and commitment. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We use web-based work psychology tests in the selection process, so be extra observant of your e-mail as this is how we contact you. After approved tests, interviews and a health examination, you will be offered to start training for tram drivers, which takes place on an ongoing basis. Göteborgs Spårvägar is a drug-free workplace and therefore always applies drug tests in connection with new employment. Probationary employment is applied.
