You think it’s equally important to develop yourself as inspire others to develop themselves.

As a person you are not afraid of taking lead when it’s needed, and you often identify and tackle technical/design debt before it grows and requires significant work to resolve.

You are comfortable to communicate in both written and spoken English to always include all of your co-workers in meeting discussions, Slack jokes or on our Friday after work.

What would you do?

Your main responsibility would be to develop our current web based products and take them to the next level, which would also include building internal tools to reach that goal.

One of our current projects is a match prediction web app written in React on the frontend. It was a huge success with thousands of participants during the World Cup, and we would love if you would like to develop it further with us!

When you’re not developing awesome new web stuff, go downstairs and test your table tennis or futchi skills against some of the brightest talents in Sweden. Or attempt what many have tried but few have succeeded and work from the office ball pit!

Who will you work with?

You will be working closest together with our ad tech team, which includes other frontend and backend developers, designers, sales and QA. Some of us love football, some of us do not care at all about sports, some prefer tea over coffee, some speak fluent Spanish, Ukrainian, Portuguese, Russian or Swedish (or are trying to learn Swedish on our own hosted classes during work time).

A quite diverse team, and we would love to be even more diverse! A thing we have in common is that we want to build the best products for all football fans in the world.

Why you want to work at Forza Football

Forza Football is a team of 50 people from 14 different countries, passionately developing football applications using the latest technology. We’re based in the heart of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Our motto is that if the team is feeling well, the company is feeling well. That’s why we created what we believe is one of the best ways of working where every employee has the autonomy to create a good balance between work and free time. Our award-winning open office environment has different sound levels across three floors including a gaming room, meditation room, library, ping pong table, shuffle board, ball pit and a smallish football pitch. As with everything, we strive to make the work environment and our products even better.

We are dedicated to building high quality mobile apps for football fans all over the world. We are in this game for the long term and we will exist for the next 100 years. With your help, we will be able to reach our goal of 300 million users and cover all matches in the world. Forza Football strive to make the world of football a better place, and to make football available for everyone.

Forza Football is bootstrapped and profitable, which means no interference from investors. We have full control over our company and products, and we only build things we are proud of. We keep things simple, we have no middle managers and we void lengthy company policies and bureaucracy. All the employees become shareholders after 12 months.

We do not hire solely based on experience with a few specific tools or languages or university degrees. Rather, we want to hire people who are smart, experienced and self-driven and can learn and adapt quickly to change. We are an equal opportunity employer and are excited to expand our team with diverse talents from different backgrounds and cultures.
