Job Description
The client is seeking an experienced System and Application Manager to join the IT division responsible for power system analysis. This function supports critical systems that enable operational planning, analytical capabilities, and long-term development of the power infrastructure.
The selected candidate will become part of a rapidly expanding and business-critical team, contributing to the management of both internally developed and third-party applications within a complex IT landscape. The role also supports ongoing transformation initiatives focused on DevOps practices and agile methodologies.
You will be part of a newly established team responsible for maintaining purchased systems and supporting delivery teams working on in-house applications.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage both in-house and third-party applications within the operational planning domain
Act as a key liaison between delivery teams, IT operations, and other technical stakeholders
Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient IT solutions
Contribute to system architecture, technical requirement definition, and lifecycle management
Drive and support strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing system efficiency and performance
Lead or assist in change initiatives and smaller technical assignments within the domain
Coordinate closely with DevOps specialists, infrastructure teams, IT security, and business units
Ensure system availability, stability, and compliance with ITIL processes (incident, problem, and change management)
Plan and execute system upgrades, releases, and testing activities
Manage system documentation, operational procedures, and access control structures
Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and external partners
Promote knowledge sharing across teams and support technical collaboration
Assist in automation initiatives where applicable

Technical Environment
Development Technologies: C++, C#, Python, React
Platforms: Linux, Windows, Kubernetes
CI/CD Tools: Azure DevOps (future migration to GitLab), Argo CD, Artifactory, JFrog Xray, SonarQube, Git
Monitoring & Observability: OP5, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana
Automation Tools: Ansible, Terraform, Helm
Infrastructure: Primarily on-premises environments due to high security requirements

Required Experience
Proven experience as a System and Application Manager or similar role
Strong understanding of IT operations, system lifecycle management, and DevOps practices
Experience working in agile environments
Exposure to IT security standards and compliance requirements
Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders

Azure DevOps
Python & scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
SQL databases
Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OP5)
Jira
Windows Server
Agile methodologies
IT security practices

Education Requirement
Minimum of 120 credits / 180 ECTS in IT or related field

Languages
English – Proficient
Swedish – Proficient
